Tampa ranked at one of the top 10 places to picnic

In Time Magazine’s recent poll, readers ranked Tampa as one of the top 10 best cities for picnics. If you live in Tampa Bay, know that we have plenty of beautiful weather, waterfront views, and clean, peaceful parks. Sounds like a perfect recipe for a summer picnic!

Take your picnic to the water with eBoats, where you can rent a boat, explore the river, and bring your picnic along. These electric duffys are easy to drive and great for seeing a different view of the beautiful city of Tampa. Don’t forget to grab the food and drinks, because they provide a cooler with ice!


The Tampa Riverwalk also provides some fantastic options for enjoying a picnic. The parks are great for the whole family; the kids can enjoy some fun in the water with splash pads while the rest of the family can enjoy a relaxing afternoon under the beautiful riverside trees.

Located just 10 miles from Waterleaf, Paul Sanders Park is a perfect place to have a shaded picnic under some beautiful oak trees. These trees provide a feeling of seclusion, making the park feel like it is away from anything else in the area. There are also benches and a nice playground for the kids to play. The playground has a rubber floor to keep the children safe and having fun.

Soon Waterleaf, a Metro Development Group community, will be the place to picnic! We are working on providing excellent areas within the community with great locations to enjoy some lush grass and beautiful trees to picnic at.
